   The Barons Hotel, which was opened in 2003, is housed in the beautiful building, dating back to the first part of the 20th century. Designed by architect in 1912, for many years it served as a bank, of which some remaining details now remind. The building represents a fine example of the so called Jugedstill architecture (or Modern) of the first decades of the 20th century and has been ranked as a national architectural heritage. Indeed, elegant fireplaces, stucco ceilings and intricate staircases create a unique and stylish interior. Despite the grand-scale reconstruction works that have been carried out to adjust the historical building for the need of the modern hotel, many original elements, like doors, elevators and safe deposit boxes, have been carefully preserved.
   The present name of the hotel has been chosen not at once - even the international contest was announced. The "Barons" was favored as it sounded new. Besides, the barons have always played an important role in the life of the entire country. The name of the hotel has determined the logo that depicts two barons holding letter "B".
   The hotel is rather small. There are only 34 rooms, but thanks to it each guest of the Barons enjoys high quality accommodation and luxurious extra services.
   The Barons Hotel is located in the historic part of Tallinn, in Old Town. So leading business, recreation and shopping centers, as well as famous places of interest, cultural and architectural monuments are situated just minutes from the hotel. Distance to the airport is 8 km, to the railway station - 1 km.
